My Life With Books
This is a personal project. This is a blog for my thoughts about what books and reading have meant to me. It is not a professional blog or a blog written by an expert on books and reading. It is my simple personal reflections on how most of my understanding of the world comes from learning through reading. I love learning and have an insatiable passion to learn and understand. I am an autodidact. My reading is definitely geared towards learning, whether from classical literature or to the most recent memoir or biography, it doesn’t matter as long as it furthers my understanding of the world. And by the world, I mean, for me, mainly history of humans and why we are the way we are. My reading is eclectic and stays mainly within certain genre such as history, literature, and philosophy. I like biographies of scientists but don’t read much science. I like to have a basic understanding of natural science as far as it impacts humans, but don’t want to know the details of geology or the origins of the universe though I find a biography of Isaac Newton or Stephen Hawking to be fascinating. I am inviting only my family and friends to read this blog. For now it will remain private. I hope you enjoy something I will write here. I think, at the very least you’ll learn more about me.

I don’t even kill spiders anymore. If a Black Widow is found then my husband is called toContinue reading “All Creatures Great and Small”
I’ve got so many books and writings on my mind. Books I read many years ago and what they meant to me. Books I finished last week which are still stirring in my mind. Books I am reading right now which are causing me to reflect on my family and mental health issues found inContinue reading “Where to begin?”
